Now, you kids be quiet - Momma's bringing a special treat for dinner.
Work all day and then have to bring home dinner - fine! I just don't want to hear any "Could we please have some meal worms tonight, momma?. Don't want to be stereotyped, me."
"Why all the squirmin', you?"
"I'll be glad to get shed of you, of yes I will."
" Hear, babies, supper up, now!"
"Ya'll share, ya hear?'
"Momma fixin' to go now - ya'll behave, ya hear?"
That bird did not want to be disturbed he was munching on something haha
ReplyDeleteMom was delivering dinner to the hatchlings - they should fledge here very soon.
DeleteImages - Great.
ReplyDeleteNarrative - Icing on the top.
Made me chuckle.
Thanks David - reverted to my teaching days, where I had to provide a floor show with biology education. Kids did seem to remember.
DeleteThanks John, great picture story and narrative.
ReplyDeleteMy pleasure - glad you enjoyed. They will entertain the entire season - I hope - for at least two more clutches.
DeleteHow did I miss this post with such a cute bird and the story that went along with it. What kind of bird is that, so blue and pretty. Perfect timing as far as the mouthful of cricket.
ReplyDeleteThat's my Eastern Bluebird family from last year - had to move their nest, temporarily, while new fencing went up, but they didn't mind. Even with four little eggs in the nest! They are usually very predictable in their feeding patterns, but very quick on the wing, so I just sit and wait. More photos to come!😁
