This week's challenge for 52 Frames is "flat lay...take a shot of items or objects laid out on a flat surface from
immediately above. Basically, a bird's-eye view of a set of objects that
make up a cohesive whole." Not my favorite technique because of its overuse in food photography. Whoever said you eat first with your eyes was not very bright - you can have a wonderfully composed plate of food in front of you, but if your sense of smell is not working (ask anyone who has had covid), you will not taste a thing. I can smell a good restaurant long before I ever see their "plating". Give me a break - you eat first with your nose , as any biologist knows (pun intended). In any case, I accepted the challenge with a different goal in mind - create a flat lay mirror image without a mirror. Just some trickeration. And my beloved Lumix.

You are one smart cookie. It took me until the third photo to figure out what you had done. Quite ingenious!! Bravo!!
ReplyDeleteThank you, My Queen! And many thanks to ON1 for the ease with which this was accomplished. Such fun! And my little Lumix finally gets some love, too.
DeleteNice one John. It works very well.
